Purpose & Purview
Not having a worthy purpose in life is a bit like looking for
your lost car keys under a streetlight rather than where you lost them.
The aim of this seminar is –
To enable the participants to explore the imperatives of having a worthy purpose in life. Having a worthy purpose in life is the only way you have of anchoring your life in the future. A “worthy” purpose is one which increases your relevance to the larger society – without which you will inevitably become less and less relevant to yourself. Relevance is the key factor in youth and in old age and, by the way, even more so in between. The aim of this seminar is not to teach you how to make choices and decisions in your life, but how to make better, more efficacious ones.
The mantra for this seminar is –
Who you are today is an amalgam of the choices you have made in the past. Try this on for size: who you become will be determined of by the amalgam of the choices you make in the present.
“A purposeless life is a wasted life.”
The how of this seminar –
Your purview of the world you see and you in it is a function of how potent your purposes are for you.
If you are having trouble being who you are, it’s because you are being guided from the outside rather than the inside. The minding that you do of the world you live in comes from your purposes in life which in turn come from the meaning you give to them.
If the life you have is not the life you want, that’s because the purposes and purviews you need for your life are not what they should be. If you raise the right questions in this seminar, they will be.
